Makes sense, but I hope easter island get more of them indoors. The ones I saw there had lots of erosion.
It’s sad to admit that it will get better care in the British Museum that in Easter Island.
They are subjects of vandalism there and ministry of culture have very little interest in get better museums and arqueological infrastructure/personel.
They should return it for moral reasons. They literally stole it. But in practical terms, it get better care in the British Museum.
Chile is poisoned with a “vandalize and burn everything” culture.
