We know this model has been a key part of the Affinity offering and we are committed to continue to offer perpetual licenses in the future.
If we do offer a subscription, it will only ever be as an option alongside the perpetual model, for those who prefer it.
Seems to be the key take away based on comments from similar posts. The wording is a bit more explicit here.
I’m always weary of the never-ending march towards everything monopolizing into like three companies, but it seems like this might not be so bad, at least for the near future.
