Made this as a replacement for URS as soon as Reddit announced their API changes c:
I like old reddit. This project is a reminder that it’s highly likely those bastards will start to work on making it unusable, if not outright end it.
So far new reddit seems easier to scrape than I initially thought c:
Unless they play the Twitter/X card and only allow seeing Reddit if you’re logged in and limit the amount of requests one account can make…
Even if they do that, it will be futile. Here is an explanation of why.
Although I already agreed to it from a users’ perspective (the more protectionist, the worse user experience), this article is very thought provoking.
