Really disappointing behavior by two horse riders on the Foothills Trail today. While on a jog, I came up on two riders blocking the path. I slowed to a walk and got about 5 feet behind the horses when one of the riders turned around and told me to go around. I asked “where?” given there was tall grass on either side, and she just pointed to the grass. I didn’t want to surprise a rattlesnake so proceeded to walk on the trail for a few minutes thinking they would probably move to single file. They didn’t, so I finally just ran into the tall grass to pass them. I told them it was pretty rude to make people go in the grass and was told that “horses have the right of way.”
