Flying cars are actually nuts imo. Like, consider how bad the average driver is, now imagine them maneuvering in three dimensions while shit posting on Reddit, doing their makeup, eating, fucking with the radio, and yelling at their kids. Adam Something called it “multiple 9/11s a day”, and I think that’s very succinct.
Moller’s answer to this in their 1980s development was to have it very automated. That was the least of their car’s problems, of course, but it was realized that lifting even part of the general traffic and its tendencies into the skies as is would be a bad situation.
