well it might be better for you , but those below you in the pecking order will disagree. If you want better players, make your league more competitive, don’t fuck off the smaller clubs in your country!!

Eventually it will probably be English Premier League vs. European Super League

So Enrique Cerezo would support a UEFA wide wage ceiling ?

It could be something like 50 % of the revenue of the 40 or so, top grossing football clubs.

Something like this js much better than SL. Also, football money is not real, who decided that 100m players are worth that much? Put on a maximum transfer spend per window and the costs should drop as well.

The super league was always about taking away some of the cash away from the English league.

Was surprised the English clubs were so keen for it initially.

The PL being better is all down to PL teams willing to share more of the revenue with each other. The Spanish league allowed the top teams to take most of the leagues revenue and now instead of fixing that they want a Super League so those top teams can suck even more money out of the sport. The lack of awareness on why they’re not in as good of a position as the PL is astonishing to me. How do people this inept become presidents of anything.

First thing : that looks like a bullshit argument. He uses wealth gap as an excuse but anyone who genuinely is concerned about wealth gap won’t think of a Super League as a solution.

Second thing : Is it not the purpose of rules like financial fair-play to prevent those kind of thing to happen ? If it doesn’t work, so do better rules.

I guess to be the president of Atleti you have to completely ignore the Galaticos era of Spanish football…

Honestly though, was this guy in a coma from 2013-2018? What an absurd statement

Why is it every time these fucks talk about the PL nicking all of the best players they never talk about Real and Barca having many of the best players in the world for the past 15 year. Look a bit closer to home pal.

He’s just greedy and wants Super League money. It’s not some diabolical plan to attack England. Chill.
