This kind of thinking exposes how little people actually care for oppressed folks who they trot out for political points.
In the case of Moscow, they never even pretended to care about the civilians (even openly wishing death on them), but for both the DPRK and Iran the narrative was always “but think of all the innocent citizens their governments hurt and oppress!”, and their solution always? Kill everything that moves.
Liberals actively demanded that Ukraine start comitting random acts of terror against civillians in Moscow.

related to this, there was this “nuke simulator” website that calculated how many people would be killed or irradiated based on where you drop it, how many megatons the bomb is, whether you detonate in air or on the surface, etc. my friends and i played on this site one time in high school and some other kid we were kind of like acquaintances with joined us and kept picking cities in India. i was like “why do you keep picking India?” and he just said “i dont like them”. we stopped talking to him after that lol
The population density of india is pretty high and you can get high numbers there if that is what you want to see in the simulation.
FR tho, I don’t see any way to use bombs ethically in general because of civilian casualties. Nuclear weapons are even worse in that regard. However I understand why some countries have nukes to prevent invasions.

My three choices are, if I am forced to choose, deep space, deep space, and uhh… deep space. Nukes are weapons of genocide and nothing else. Even nuking the Imperial Core would mostly kill just powerless people.

Yeah the sea would probably be a good shout, but it might spread the radiation. I wasn’t really being serious with my answer, just trying to go for a hypothetical in which the least amount of people die.
