Am I missing something? Because on a quick read I’m agreeing with a lot of what he said, especially on the part of Imperialism being the main contradiction.
I should note that I have no idea what that sub is about, my only knowledge about it is the post linked here
Can someone help me understand what makes it reactionary?
Reactionary? I think it would be a stretch. The only problem I see is that the user is angry and ends up contradicting themselves probably in haste because they went thermonuclear. They say imperialism is the primary contradiction then say:
You only need to read the Communist Manifesto and the ABCs of Communism to understand theory
This won’t teach you even a little bit what imperialism is. All you are gonna end up doing is probably using vulgar anti-Americanism as a heuristic to guess what it is.
They make some points in general about how discussion of theory is not important which are a bit odd. It is possible to engage too much in philosophical discussions but having some of it helps a lot in inproving our model of reality.
I think the user would be more reasonable if they were not agitated by the sub being called not socialist.
Yeah, the ending is where he lost me completely. But I was agreeing with him a lot in the middle and that got me a little scared considering the title of this community
Thank you for the response
