You can’t control hyperv via powershel, winrm, or wmi?
You can’t control hyperv via powershel, winrm, or wmi?
I’m a net admin so I don’t deal much on hypervisors but I’m a bit surprised.
Does it actually have shit automation support, or do you just not like the APIs?
Not like they used to, mostly. They just replaced “contract” with “equipment payment plan”. Because $50/mo for 24 months is easier for a consumer to swallow than a lump payment of $1200, especially when the carrier is giving you a $10 or $20 (or more) “discount” on the phone.
But as long as the EPP is active, the phone is locked to that carrier. And I think that’s fair. No different than the bank holding the title while you finance a car.
The thing is that the plans that have these equipment deals are significantly more expensive than others. Namely big name plans like TMo or Verizon, compared to MVNO plans like Mint or Visible. So you end up paying more for the plan because you get “a deal” on your phone (but still end up ultimately paying more).
I’m reading (well, listening) to a book called “Trust me, I’m Lying” about the modern news cycle, and how lies and intentional outrage at lower levels (blogs and social media) get funneled up to traditional-media, and how that is driven by people like the author.
I wouldn’t be surprised if causing outrage and later deleting the tweet and following up with a half-hearted non-apology was the intent all along.
Really great book, IMO. Same guy (Ryan Holiday) had a book about the conspiracy behind the Hulk Hogan sex tape (“Conspiracy”) that was also real good.
The Republican party wouldn’t exist if everybody voted. That is a straight up fact. As fucked as our election system is, they are far enough the minority that if everyone got out, the EC wouldn’t matter.
You want a “left light” and a “true left”, you aren’t going to get it by abstaining, or by voting for nonviable moonshot third-party candidates. You are going to get it by abolishing the far right party and making that tiny sliver of the whole population realize that their antiquated views aren’t welcome here.
They need to be crushed.
They only exist because people don’t want to vote for the lesser of two evils, so instead they just don’t vote. And what do you know, a -1 for the less evil is just as effective as a +1 for the more evil.
All of their success is brought on by feeding apathy in their opposition, making it more difficult to vote, destroying any faith in the system, and gerrymandering.
So yes, in my opinion, the far left refusing to hold their nose for a few minutes maybe we’ll be voting for the insurrectionist.
Stop sharing any photos of people who don’t give consent, whether they can or not.
In an alternate timeline where we never had the stigma around nudity, I’d be just as embarrassed of my nose in a photo than I would of my penis.
Or maybe 10 years after I cut ties with you because you became a massive douche sandwich, I don’t want my picture on the same Facebook wall as your white pride rally.
Not you, personally, but any body really.
How would you feel when they’re showing nude pictures of you to their classmates yeah I thought so.
Depends, does your mom have an onlyfans?
So why are Kei cars being banned, and not motorcycles?
Motorcycles are far less safe and far less utilitarian, but still legal and ubiquitous.
In the beginning…
Well my 6th grade science teacher told us that Chernobyl was fortold in the book of revelations and it meant that the world will end soon. Public school. In New England. In the 90s. The 1990s.
And there were nine of them!
I’d actually been wanting to check them out, but now that I have Nebula, nobody is plugging their affiliate links.
That’s exactly it.
The lies in MSM aren’t what they say, it’s what they don’t say.
The best place to see this is at Planet Fitness, or similar place with TVs constantly tuned to all the major outlets. Watch them all at once and observe what each isn’t saying.
And the bastard, American.
Ehh…not that much.
Sarah Palin was supposed to bring in the party’s fringes for McCain in his 2008 bid. She was considered a nutter then.
One Obama later, and suddenly McCain was either the scum of the earth or the best the GOP has to offer, depending on who you ask, and those groups of people flipped in that time. Meanwhile Palin became a mascot.
Palin wasn’t even invited to his funeral. Didn’t speak to him one time in the year he was sick.
And people who work menial jobs don’t deserve to live since they can’t afford healthcare. Those people are obviously lesser and should die.
After all, if you wanted to live a long healthy life, they should’ve gone into a prosperous and productive career…like stock trading. Those guys have tons of money and thus deserve to live.
Right?
You realize that by the time today’s mortgages are paid off, a millionaire will be nearly anyone who owns a home, right? Being a millionaire isn’t the benchmark it used to be. It’s nothing. “Millionaire” is very, very close to what “middle class” used to be, and yet it’s still somehow completely unachievable to most.
Yet somehow we have people walking around today that could literally give $1m to every person in Flint, MI (population 100k) today and still have more wealth than all of them combined. And they’d still be the 15th richest person out of some 8,000,000,000 other people.
And people like you see them as an ally and inspiration.
World is fucked.
We’ve been getting tons of rain here, but we are still in an outdoor water ban.
Between 8-5, no lawn watering (except golf courses and businesses), no washing your car (except at a car wash), no watering your ornamental plants (except for farms and garden stores). No filling your pool (even a kiddie pool) or running through the sprinkler (except at the water park).
It’s not because of drought, but because one of our water sources is offline due to elevated PFAS, so they are blending water from other reservoirs, and those sources combined can’t make up the extra demand.
And also protecting businesses by making sure we can’t wash our own cars or lollygag through our own sprinklers. Gotta pay for that privilege.
We have to pay…for the privilege…of lollygagging through our sprinklers.
I get the lawn part. I hate lawns. But my yard is also a barren mud pit. I gotta put something down. Trying for mostly clover and other plants that don’t need a ton of water, but they still need to stay moist to germinate and start off, and that’s real tough to do if you can’t water it during the hottest parts of the day. I don’t really care what grows as long as it holds the dirt together and it’s comfortable to walk on barefoot.
Detroit failed because of automation and off-shoring. Things that could have been repaired or prevented politically, sure. But not directly caused by policies based in bigotry and ignorance.
If any correlation can be made, it’s from white-flight. Which would be caused by Detroit’s massive loss of jobs and Florida’s massive loss of land. But white flight, imo, is the reaction, not the catalyst, of its downfall.
FL would’ve been a landslide and the courts wouldn’t have even been asked if the greens voted for Gore.
