  • When I want to pull someone in, I’ll mention that I saw some meme / post / video or whatever on lemmy, and then tell them about the post. You’re leading with the value of the content, and if the person you want to join also enjoys that content, they might ask what lemmy is. This is your invitation to pull them in.

This. Marketing 101. Tease with content, not with technology.

  • Toyota will provide “design, technical and manufacturing services” to Haas as part of a new, multi-year deal between the two. Haas says it will supply “technical expertise and commercial benefits in return.” Toyota junior drivers will be able to drive Haas cars (in private tests and/or FP1 outings).

The new deal will not affect Haas’ current arrangement with Ferrari, who supply their power units, gearboxes and some other parts. The two companies recently extended until 2028.

  • “Where is my book?” - “Where did you last have it?” - “on a broom :(” That was delivered so perfectly

Oh my good they killed Alice!

Agatha was reeking of Joker energy in that conversation with “Teen”, taunting him for being “like his mother”… down to the big smile.

Also, “You should see me in a crown” obviously is a reference when seeing “Teen” wear a Wanda-esque crown… but the song being by Billie Eilish? After we just had confirmation from the Ouija board that Nicholas Scratch seems indeed to be dead?

  • Othmar is talking about implied acceptance of a contract.

Implied acceptance is when a person’s actions indicate that they agree to the terms of an offer, even if they don’t explicitly say so. This creates a binding contract between the parties involved.

Basically, if the contract says that I will have to give you support and in turn you will be bound to my academy, and then I give you that support, I have indicated that I agree to the terms of that contract. Even if my legal department messes up signing it.

Of course, Alpine never tested whether that line would hold in court, and therefore it’s eeh.
