Let’s start here, what’s the project?
Oh wow that really wasnt that bad
I will learn nothing from this
Then one day you say to your SO you’re going to pick up your glasses in the bedroom, trip on the carpet, land on your desk chair. 3 hours later, you started the project. You will never finish it though.
“I just need to sit down, focus, skim a few chapters in this book, and take notes. It’ll take twenty minutes, maybe even less. Easy.”
stares at a blank document for ten minutes
“Let’s watch a one-hour video essay on a completely unrelated topic, maybe that’ll motivate me.” (it won’t)
Focus. focus… focus on what? focus on " _____ " ah yeah… was just about to do that… focus. focus. focus on focussing. I just need to focus.

Nah, starting is easy. I start new projects all the time. Finishing them though…
Unless it’s someone else’s project, then whatever.
Me: This is a really simple task, i can finish it in like 30min, an hour tops.
My brain: Exactly why we can postpone it longer.
