    Lots of “mods” claimed the names of popular subreddits and made communities here - not necessarily because the liked the sun, they just tried to claim as many as they could. But most of them haven’t added any content, don’t actively moderate, and don’t reply to messages. I’m not sure what their end game is other than to be a “power mod”. It’s annoying for people who want to engage in these communities because they’re effectively unmoderated, but the beauty of the fediverse is that you can make your own version of this community on a different instance.
