So grateful to have found this community, thanks to everyone who participates!
Iâve had to replace the pressurestat in my Astoria Rapallo every couple years, because the contacts get very pitted and disfigured. Everything else is probably fine, and it seems nuts to me to have to buy a whole new one, for the sake of a couple small strips of metal.
Iâd love to just replace those contacts; does anyone have experience with that? I did a bunch of googling and couldnât come up with anything except a teardown-and-clean where the poster says âyou can replace them if you have a refurb kitâ. But itâs an old post and searching for âpressurestat refurb kitâ hasnât yielded me any good results.
Any advice appreciated, and thanks for reading. Hereâs hoping that whatever youâre brewing or pouring this weekend is delicious!
Hereâs the link to the tear down, if anyone is interested⊠specific to my question is the quote:
Now if you happen to have a rebuild kit laying around you can replace the points but I did not.
