        I thought I remembered them mentioning a Fiesta EV, but could be wrong.

      I don’t have any specific citation here, but…

      I think Ford is really struggling to get EV manufacturing scaled and are losing tons of cash on each EV sold. They need the production volume large enough to make the drivetrain and essential systems cheap.

      They’ve found it more difficult than anticipated and still cant afford to go cheap yet, so they try and make the vehicle fancy to juatify a higher price tag

        Keep in mind that EVs have far fewer parts and many of the parts they do have are the same as ICE vehicles. If Ford can’t figure out how to make a cheaper car with less moving parts, they’re in trouble.
