I’ve stumbled upon this when researching the Whitworth rifle, being fascinated by such an accurate black powder muzzle loader. I’ve also come to learn that this page had listed a confederate sharpshooter as one of the longest recorded sniper kills! Since recently he is no longer on the page and I wanted to know why exactly. That’s how I stumbled upon this “gem” and general slobba ukroni trying to fit some ukrainian guy as “the best”, of course… Never again, wikipedia is a fucking joke.

It’s the Hebrew letter vav
It represents the consonant [w] in classical Hebrew, and [v] in modern Hebrew
The letters on the logo are supposed to look or sound like ‘w’ in different languages

Forgive me for being uncultured but what is yod?
No worries at all. It’s a letter of the Hebrew alphabet but arguably the most important one because it is the first letter in, and symbolic of, the Tetragrammaton.
But I don’t actually know Hebrew so I may be mistaking it for another letter.
