i was working on my ebike today, and i realised, hey, i bet a bunch of my comrades around the world also have cool bikes :33 if y’all wanna post ur bikes in the comments that’d be fun :3

because i live in shitty burgerland, i can’t completely rely on public transit, but this bike bridges the gap between the metro and places i need to go :3 i love it!

selling my car to get medically necessary surgery! Freedomland™ rocks! :3

    Scoots count?

I got one of these bboys recently, a turboant x7 max

Its been a lot of fun to scoot around town, get to parks faster, etc.

i had one of these for when i had to commute but hasn’t needed it for several years since. I gave it to a coworker who was constantly showing up to work all sweaty and out of breath because the train system sucks. He is eternally grateful as it really is a nice thing to have for commuting

I really want a pedal assist bike for riding trails and logging roads around me, but it seems like one of those things I’d have to spend a lot of money on to get something decent and I’m not really sure if I’ll want to do it enough to justify it? It would just be a hobby, I live 30 miles from the nearest store so I can’t really sell our vehicle and switch to a bike.

    I love ebikes!!

Here’s mine!! It normally isn’t glowing, but I had the LED tape on it for a group ride a few months ago and I still love how it looked then, it cycled through trans flag colors and everything 😊

I don’t have my license quite yet and our public transit kinda sucks so I’m reliant on this thing to get around a lot of the time, I still definitely plan on continuing to use it once I have my license though

There’s a grocery store nearby that I can get to in less than 10 minutes on this thing on a mixed-use “shared sidewalk” and I love doing it even though I can’t carry all that much (I could use another bag, and I should probably strap a milk crate on sometime)

That’s a beaut. If I get another bike, I’m def gonna try to get mudguards like that.

Can you buy those front baskets for bikes as an aftermarket thing? I don’t know the pros and cons of back or front carrying.

Oh I don’t have a front basket on mine actually, I’m just dangling my helmet off the handlebar in that photo (unless you meant to reply to someone else like OP)

But I know you can get aftermarket front baskets/racks, just be careful if you get a mountain bike or something because not every front rack works with bikes that have front suspension (since the lower part of the fork moves up and down on those)

Personally I prefer a rear rack with a detachable pannier bag, my bike came with the rack (since that’s where the battery goes in on this one) and I got the bag cheap enough on Amazon, I can wear it over my shoulder when I get where I’m going and then just clip it back on the bike when I leave, you could also attach a basket or milk crate or whatever, which I gotta start doing eventually so I can carry more groceries

It also came with the fenders too, though of course those can also be bought aftermarket for bikes that don’t have them

Only other thing I wish it came with was lights, a lot of ebikes are capable of having their lights be directly powered by the motor’s battery so you don’t need to charge them separately, I’m using USB-charged ones for now which I gotta worry about separately
