Are there any other news sources apart from Twitter?

Mastodon has Sportsbots accounts that mirror tweets (Ornstein , Luckhurst, Romano, etc.)but it’s constantly broken.

I have RSS reader for Manchester Evening News but a lot of those are clickbait-y and annoying. You can’t filter just Luckhurst articles so you have to click on it first.

I have an Athletic subscription, since I believe in supporting good journalism, but they are often not the first, since they only report when they have reliable info, their in-depth behind the scenes articles are unrivaled, Mitten, Whitwell and Ornstein all seem to have lots of inside sources.

if you want fast, but less reliable then Fabrizio Romano has you covered, that’s his stuff basically, he tries to cover stuff fast, but is not entirely reliable with details, plus he promoted greenwood and sometimes steals exclusives form others, so up to you if you want to follow that.

SkySports also seems to be quite reliable since INEOS came in, seems like they managed to get a source inside United. They have been front runners for lots of transfer stories coming out.

There is also a whatsapp channel or whatever by the Athletic, haven’t checked that out yet.

I was thinking more like Twitter type of news, not articles (unless I want to read up more about the certain subject).

Looks like the Sportsbot accounts on Mastodon are running again so I’m good until it fails again. LOL

It may not be what you are after but I find best source for news is You Tube fan channels like United Stand or FUTV.

They may just regurgitate the news from those sports journalists tweets but it saves me having to use Twtter myself and they summarise everything quite well usually. Although some go overboard and are often clickbaity themselves it’s easy enough to spot the actual breaking news Vs the click bait titles.
