I’m sure there’s a hacky workaround for every complaint I might have, I’ve done a lot of those over the years and I don’t see that stopping any time soon. I’m just tired of having to fix things before I can use/enjoy them. Effort is a limited resource. It’s current year, shit should just work.
There’s the features/app part already mentioned, but I also feel like there’s few “discoverability”. I’m glad Lemmy doesn’t has a addicting algoritm, but it’s also kind of hard to find new/diverse content that I like, and there’s also some issues in the community, but there’s unfortunately nothing to do about it.

not using an app. I refused to install reddit s app, I won’t install lemmys.

Don’t care. I’m not installing another app. It’s a website, it should work in a browser.
Jerboa is technically First party. Doesn’t brand itself as the Lemmy app though.

However, both Voyager and Photon are websites that access Lemmy.
They have plenty features and there are others as well.

I wish every instance was separate
Would it work if you only browsed local posts, and logged in to each instance separately?
