International Chess Federation, FIDE, has released new guidelines targeting transgender players. The guidelines would strip trans men's titles, and potentially bar trans women from playing.

    Thanks for the explanation both you and [email protected]. With these kinds of 19th Century attitudes I guess I shouldn’t be surprised they’d also be bigoted toward trans people…

      Yeah, even among many chess players FIDE has a bad reputation, because they are very much an “old boys’ club”, showed obvious favoritism to certain players and have often been credibly accused of corruption, though they always got away without consequences.
