I was diagnosed when I was 20 along with other things.
Hi, what lead to the diagnose? How did you realize you needed help?
I’m not the therapist so couldn’t tell you what let to the diagnosis and I didn’t realize there was anything wrong with until I went to therapy for suicidal thoughts
Does it mean you face some difficulties other people don’t?
Yes, absolutely. My emotions aren’t the same as everyone elses. It’s hard for me to be genuine and I have a chronic need for admiration and attention.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as you are not stealing the fame. What’s your proudest achievement?
What was your childhood like and what experiences did you have that you believe may have formed this type of personality?
It was very lonely and difficult. My parents were tiger parents and I could never live up to there expectations. I tried hard in school but I could never get the grades my parents wanted and plus I have an intellectual disability which didn’t help. My dad had a very short temper and got violent easily. I got bullied a lot both at school and at home. Don’t get me wrong there were some good times but overall my childhood was very traumatic and a lot of my personality traits I have now was a response mechanism to all of it.
