Sync for Lemmy could be one of the apps that’s left behind once Lemmy reaches 1.0.0 🥺
I’ve been shopping around for another app for when the day comes. It sucks because Sync is so good, but I’m pretty certain it’s living on borrowed time.
I switched to Boost for Lemmy a long time ago when It became clear that Sync is pretty much abandoned.
I’ve tried a lot of them but they feel really immature compared to Sync.
What would be your go to if it happened today ?
Probably Summit, since the dev is very active and takes user requests. It’s not near parity yet but it might get close some time in the future. I can’t say there is a single one-to-one replacement for Sync at the moment though. Boost is fine if you don’t use gestures (but I do so…).

Unfortunately comments don’t load anymore with Sync. Sad to see no barebones maintenance on this software.
They load for me. Maybe it’s a lemmy.world problem?
Might be, because it affects threads only on their server, but it doesn’t happen with the web interface.
I just ran into this issue. I had to switch to Summit to reply to something.
I’m using Lemmynade (another abandoned project), so I will be moving to Raccoon probably.
