I agree, that little bit of thought required will put off some of the people that made Reddit a wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Overall the fediverse seems a much more civilised place. I’ve become mastodon ‘friends’ with people I disagreed with. On Reddit, Twitter etc they would have blocked me.
