Should I buy an audio interface, mixer, or preamp to improve the sound of the mpc one as a beginner that operates in standalone mode? I want to loop beats into something, process them, and send them back to the mpc one via 8 outs. Please correct any inaccurate statements in this thread because I’m still learning.
Industry veteran producer e-a ski initiated a discussion about mpc sound design in this video:

Here is a playlist to highlight the audio difference between stock and modded mpc x: https://m.soundcloud.com/black-lion-audio/sets/mpcx-se-stock-vs-mod
According to him the mpc sound engines are bad, the in-box sound is terrible, and most people don’t use the eight analogue outs to improve the sound. He feels it’s better to route audio through a mixer, preamp, audio interface, and/or analogue gear to improve sound instead of just exporting it to a computer.
Audio interface choices are ID 44 Mk 2, Steinberg UR22C, and Focusrite Scarlett 4i4. Mixer choices are Yamaha MG10XU and Mackie Pro FX 10v3 because the tascam mixer is too expensive. Is running the audio through a preamp with 8 outs another option?
What should I buy to accomplish my goal and/or use the 8 outs on a budget? Please help and thank you for reading this thread.
