I was thinking about single target protection spells to add for an aura commander deck, and it came to my mind that it was weird that no hexproof-granting (not just until end of turn) aura with flash existed, so I made one. Maybe the cost is too efficient at just 1, but 2 mana seemed too much for how specific this is. And although it’s quite simple to grasp, it’s a rare for the sheer efficiency alone, although maybe it could be a fine addition to some peasant cubes.

Probably too cheap given that it’s a permanent, but with wizards printing shit like they do who knows anymore. The fact that’s it’s specific just means it’s only going to be played in a few deck types, but in those deck types it’s going to be very powerful.

They will definitely make a card like this at some point, but G might be too efficient for a flashy version. I immediately thought of Bogles, but I don’t actually know if it wants this. It’s unneeded with the actual Bogles, but a version with only Lightpaws/Sythis/Spiritdancer could be made, though it would have a slower start. I could see turn 1 [[Utopia Sprawl]] into turn 2 [[Sythis]] with this as backup being very gross.

They’re doing less and less “permanent hexproof” and probably won’t on an aura 🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean, with the current thinking; that might change.

In eternal formats we already have Lightning Greaves and such, so in a Commander Legends type set this might see the light of day.
