Oof, what a reaction.
Power doesn’t panic. But they’re panicking for real.
Genuinely gross. They could have built their own community here and acted as leaders, instead they’re tightening their grip on a weak power trip.
Yea but if it is a rule violation then rules are rules. More important is how do we spread the word about this place.
Twitter posts are allowed. Why not any mention of Lemmy?
Maybe we need to tweet about Lemmy?
Yeah, that was my reply to the mods. I had only mentioned an outside entity, no different than the countless twitter, linkedin, gmedd, and drsgme.org posts or comments that encourage outside conversation of GME. The rules ‘as stated’ only apply to other subreddits.

Thing is, I didn’t break the rule. it explicitly states other subs. Lemmy is not Reddit, there is no brigading or mention of another subreddit in my comment.
Would there be a difference between my comment, and perhaps, a comment about a Twitter thread or hashtag? hmm…
