I’m sure boomers have complete control of the real estate market for those that evidently know nothing about it.
As a political block, they’ve had control of our housing market for around 40 years now. The changes they made, and problems they ignored, for those decades have caused the problems we have today.
Most real estate conglomerates are run by 30-40 year old MBAs looking for return on investments so they can get a big bonus. They set the market. They are not boomers.
Those kids are playing in the market the Boomers created and set the rules for, before they were ever born.
Those rules were set before the Boomers were born too.
That’s categorically untrue. The rules have been semi-fluid and evolving since the real estate market became a thing.
The real estate market became a ‘thing’ with John Jacob Astor in the 1830s. And yes investment rules change.
Maybe the boomers should try to save some money instead of
buying avocado toast and lattesbuying uninsurable vacation homes in Key West with a reverse mortgage from their primary home.Well Ya. Boomers forgot that younger generations were going to be the ones taking care of them. But since we can’t even take care of ourselves we’ll do what the young did with the old during the great depression… Drop them off downtown and let the elements take care of the rest.
