Excited to see him play.
Hoping he becomes a stud and helps shore up the interior with Pickens. The glaring question is still who is going to rush the QB, but hopefully with an improved interior that will help out Gipson and the others.
Chicago media has told me two things so far about Gervon:

Slow getoff in college (hopefully this ends up being overblown)

He has turned heads in a good way so far this offseason
From what I understand, Gervon’s slow get-off time had to do with his role in the defense. I read that the coaches wanted him to react to the blocking scheme that he saw being used, so he would wait and go from there. I don’t know how much truth there is to that, but the camp notes make it sound like he should be just fine in the NFL

I love seeing school pics of these dudes, there’s always such a “How do you do, fellow kids” vibe.
I’m getting cautiously hyped for Dexter. Cautiously, mostly because it feels very vaguely similar to the Velus Jones pick- a dude with great traits who’s going to be expected to make a bigger impact than most mid-2nd rounders because of dire positional need. Right now I think the mild hype exists largely because we very much need him to be that good
