Colombia’s time wasting got rewarded dearly, only 5 minutes of added time in the second half… Colombia’s second goal not being disallowed might end up in another post match apology + referee suspension. Not to mention the constant lasers in the face of every Uruguayan trying to execute a set piece, that at least wasn’t a refereeing related issue, and even then Darwin managed to score a screamer of a penalty while being blinded by the lasers.

I’m sure Colombia will get demolished in the Estadio Centenario.

Stupid is the only adjective I have to describe that tie. We could’ve been up 3-1 or 4-1 easy. Pero se sabía. Either way James played his best game for Colombia in years. Definitely some positives to take to Ecuador but this feels like a loss.

with tabarez we wouldn’t have been so defensively suspect. OTOH, with tabarez the team would have given up after 2-1

I’m Uruguayan objectively we are lucky to get a point from Colombia. Valverde needs to play in the right winger position and Pellistri needs to be benched. I’m starting to understand why Manchester United doesn’t give him minutes. Pellistri needs to get his situation sorted out and go on loan and get regular playing time. Next Brian Rodriguez has no business in the national team. Maxi Araujo is much better and was much more effective when he came on as well as playing well during the other qualifying matches so far. Also Olivera from Napoli needs to start over Piquerez and Santiago Bueno from Wolves needs to start over Sebastian Caceres. The defense today apart from Ronald Araujo was very shaky and it looked like Colombia could have scored more goals if they had better finishing. Man I really hope Ocampo who came back from a knee injury with Cadiz last year can find his form again and be given a chance for the national team. Apart from Maxi Araujo the other wingers like Pellistri (needs to go out on loan and get regular minutes), Brian Rodriguez and Kike Olivera are simply not good enough.

Our defense is garbage, our attack has the same problems as the last qualifiers and James being our best player says a lot of how disjointed we are as a team.

Don’t get how a team can just switch off so much on the last minutes to throw away a win.
