Does anyone know why the paid PREMIUM TV channel for #cricket in the USA & Canada is called “Willow” it just seems like a really weird choice, one in the long string that really makes it feel like they are actively against growing in the game in Nortb America

word. The Pig Skin channel would be quickly identified as gridiron football here, even among non-sporting fans, but not willow. I am not even sure if they’re would be a corresponding term for baseball or ice hockey. No clue what kind of wood is used for that bat or stick.

Bats are made of willow wood so I’m not sure what the problem is. Does it mean anything in the US? Or are you going by how it sounds like?

Yeah that’s exactly why they named it Willow. Personally I love the name, but I do get why Americans would not get the connection to cricket
