I can only imagine what marketing they must have done to convince the average voter there was any downside to the POSSIBILITY of taxing high net worth individuals, without any specifics.

Guess what — if you paid for it upfront (taxes) it would be cheaper. Same with toll roads. Same with privatizing the grid. Same with the push to privatize schools. It’s gonna cost you more in the long run.
