You understand Israel didn’t just do this out of the blue right? They are reacting to a 9/11 caliber event by groups that want to exterminate them. I’m not saying either side is right in their methods, I’m saying it’s extremely complicated. Proxy war always is. They need to react enough to discourage Hamas or other Islamic groups from doing anything like this again, but their margins are extremely thin and it’s arguable that they overreact.
