You can kind of feel they didn’t get along even though it was never spoken of. They never did anything together besides playing football in the same team.
RIP Bobby Firmino
Lmao I’d never seen that clip of Firmino before
This was something we all knew:
When a substitution was needed, it was easier to take Bobby off than to upset either of the other two.
There were many times when one of them when one of them would put in an awful performance, yet would seem to be immune from being substituted. All of us remember matches when it would make no sense that one of them wasn’t coming off.
I actually don’t agree with this. I think they were both kind of players that would be able to score goals even when they had a shit performance and that very much played a part into not getting subbed off even on their bad days.
On the other hand, unfortunately Bobby didn’t have as much stamina as the other two and was also more injury prone, so he was subbed off more.
Basically I think it is true that Bobby was getting subbed off more than the other two, but I don’t think it was mainly because of them throwing tantrums.
aston villa, radio was shit all game then makes one and scores the winner

Salah is unreal for this. He could be invisible for 90% of the game, but then end the game with 2 goals and an assist.
It was very rarely spoken about, but there was no doubt that Mo and Mane had a bit of a rocky relationship.
Around 2020, Mane basically stopped celebrating goals. Even when he scored, his emotions were extremely muted. Some people thought it was due to his religion and trying to be modest, but it was fairly obvious there was more to it. You could often see Bobby trying to get Mane to celebrate goals and joke with him when he scored. The thing was, Bobby kept getting injured so he couldn’t play that role in the team as often.
In the end, if nothing else, it shows the level of professionalism within the squad and the brilliance of Klopp. Even with stuff going on in the background, none of this nonsense leaked out and the team generally speaking performed at a high level. When we had our dips, they were easy to explain and almost always down to injuries and a lack of transfers.
I ageee. Also If we had won the champions league in 2022, Mane would’ve probably deservedly or not won the Ballon d’or. I think the toxicity between the two of them would’ve reached an apogee if that occurred.
Him not celebrating his team mates goals always seemed so weird to me. And he did celebrate his goals at least a little, which made it kinda worse.
Honestly, this is fine and I don’t care. During the time of the trio, we won every piece of silverware, went to three Champions League finals, came within one point of the Premier League title twice, and played some of the most exciting football in the world.
It speaks to Klopp’s management that two of his best players didn’t get on but they still happily played together, and passed to each other and celebrated goals.
God I fucking love Bobby
