Just in case anyone else might have gotten the wrong impression from the title,
“I was told that when they revealed Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2018, this is similar in terms of timeline. That was announced in 2018 and we’re not getting that game until maybe next year.
“So now do the math for that, and we’re talking 2029 for Mass Effect 5.”
So basically, no confirmation on Mass Effect 5, just numerology.
Grubb went on to claim that his sources told him the N7 Day teaser was created mainly to reassure fans that a game was in the works, rather than any sort of indication that it was coming any time soon.
… and a dismissal of any claims that any new Mass Effect game is in the works.
Good, I hope they take their time and make something absolutely incredible. Games aren’t movies or television shows, especially triple a games need to provide so much more than a passing hour of entertainment.
You know they won’t
So expect a game with the length and world detail of Cyberpunk 2077? You know what? Fuck it. I’m in.
Games need to leave you wanting more. I would way rather have a game world that I want to be in that kicks me out before it has worn out its welcome than have a game that wants me to spend 40 hours on exploring with some half-baked transportation mechanics and resource gathering with a point-and-click mining tool
Yes, I’m basing this comparison off of the fact that Cyberpunk was revealed 7 years before its release as the next Mass Effect allegedly was. I don’t care lol
Looking at the layoffs at the AAA publishers I wouldn’t bet on it.
Let’s see them actually release something before getting excited, now it’s just cheap publicity
Sorry, I don’t mean to say I’m excited, just that I’d love if more games came out like Cyberpunk in design (albeit less buggy)
