Small wireless is still subject to the whims of big wireless. They all run on the same towers. And big wireless owns them.
In Australia they tower owners have to provide access to the smaller players. You can use any provider and get the same tech, but it depends on the area the small players have accessed, as to whether or not they will suit.
For example, Aldi mobile runs off the Telstra towers. But it doesn’t have all of them, only selected areas.
Do they regulate the price the big telecoms are allowed to charge the small guys?
My understanding is yes, but I may be incorrect. I’m sure someone can chime in with some facts.
Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of the very noticeable deprioritization.
