You know, if the deal on offer from politicians was “pay $150 a year and we’ll stop climate change in its tracks” I’d go for it in a heartbeat.

How does paying extra money offset the carbon you’ve produced? That’s still producing carbon and now paying someone. What do they do? How do they reduce carbon to offset your footprint?
