The comparison of pandemic restrictions on social gatherings to ethnic genocide is despicable and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Gotta agree with this person, OP.

Don’t get me wrong, COVID and Stay-At-Home orders sucked ass, but the Holocaust was on a very different level. Staying hidden was the least of the issues the Jews faced during the Holocaust. They lived each day like that for years knowing that it might be their last.

And for a large number of them, it eventually turned out to be true.

Yes. A small number of them found Compound V and became super Jews, single handedly beating back the Nazis /s

It’s been two years, we’re free to make jokes.

Dig the stick out of your ass.

Edit: Do you also complain about 9/11 jokes? I see in your comment history you say that anybody who deep fries a turkey is a stupid fat redneck who comes from a line of stupid fat rednecks. Isn’t that a little offensive? Where do you draw the line?

If you don’t have a sense of humor, just move on. Stop being butthurt by what somebody else laughs at.

Funny…the ones complaining about the pandemic restrictions at the time were comparing themselves to ethnic genocide victims. I don’t see a problem with making jokes about those people now.

This literally is one of those people comparing themselves to ethnic genocide victims. “The big bad nazi gubmint is coming after your grandma’s thanksgiving dinner” is the (barely) subtext of this meme, I don’t understand how you are missing this.

If you ask the people who didnt want the restrictions, the meme was exactly what they said would happen. But I digress.

I found the meme funny. A great satirization of the lockdowns and the arbitrary “10-12 people” imposed. The menace imposed by sending gestapo to hunt thanksgiving parties of all things. Having seen the movie and being relatively learned in history, and have decided to share it 3 years after it was made because I can’t be bothered to Save fresher material.

Because it’s a meme and OP’s comment history doesn’t seem to indicate that.

who the fuck cares about OPs comment history? I don’t know or care what’s in their heart, all I got is what’s in this meme. it’s a cringe meme, that’s start and end of it. why the fuck you guys gotta try and investigate people’s entire character as if any one of us couldn’t just post something dumb without thinking

OP’s motivations were called into question. I don’t see evidence for the accusation in OP’s comment history. I personally took the meme as just a meme, but other people refuse to.

“It’s just a meme bro” is the saddest defense of this sort of crap. It’s schroedinger’s douchebag - if people don’t like the right wing tripe you’re spewing, don’t worry, it was just a joke!

No attempt was made to lampoon the viewpoint presented in the meme, it was just given primo facia. The idea that it’s being offered with a wink and a nod is a justification after the fact that rings totally hollow.

Also, “ironically” being a nonce is still being a nonce.

It’s not “just a meme bro”

It’s a direct parody of the governments and lockdowns during Thanksgiving and the reactions surrounding it all. It’s absolutely “lampooning the viewpoint”. You can take the meme serious, you can take it humorous. But you know, I think k that in 6 hours or so when I post another Thanksgiving meme, I’m not going to remember this conversation and let your seriousness in a Memes channel live rent free in my head
