I do love that I can share links to a Google photos album so that family members can see all the photos of my kid as she grows up. Is there a self-hosted version of this kind of thing?

I’m pretty technically inclined, but I’m slowly getting into self-hosting for the first time as I explore the type of setup and services I want running. Media and file storage are the main reasons.
