As followers of Jesus Christ, we condemn, in the strongest terms, offending (harming) or abusing children. Abuse is not just a social malady and a criminal act; it is absolutely forbidden by the commandments of God.

Considering the recent Associated Press report regarding a former bishop who molested his daughter, I thought I’d share the Church’s procedures around handling abuse.

The Church has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to abuse. This means that if we learn of abuse, we cooperate with civil authorities to report and investigate the abuse.
