Nyck de Vries has offered up his first public comments after the news broke that he will be replaced at AlphaTauri by Daniel Ricciardo from the Hungarian Grand Prix onwards.
It is a bit of a shame for him, esp if they’re rolling out car improvements for Hungary that could’ve helped his performance. Admittedly he wasn’t really making waves out there. Hopefully he can either be picked up by another team or maybe make a move to another discipline like Formula E or something
Nyck de Vries was Formula E champion in 2020-21. Could be interesting if he went back, but I don’t follow Formula E closely, I don’t know if that’s a possibility/appealing for him.
