  • A local zoo has a “taxidermy department” and noteworthy animals are preserved or skinned and the skins sold to friends of the zoo.

    Its kept very secret because it would be publicly unpopular. A friends dad has a mountain lion skin because he is a contractor who does a lot of work for the zoo and did a few jobs for them that NEEDED to be done basically for cost when they were suffering some financial troubles. They gave him the pelt as a Xmas present.







  • If I recall correctly she owns a fleet of rental tour busses because when she was younger and her dad was trying to keep some semblance of normalcy in her life by only booking short tours nobody wanted to rent them a tour bus for only a few weeks. If you werent booking it for 6 months they didnt want to know you. He realised she had enough money to buy her own damn bus, so they did.

    Well when artists knew she wasnt touring and wanted a bus for a few weeks they rang her dad and asked “Hey can we rent your bus for a month?” after it happened a few times he bought another bus, and another…










  • Because when its good, and I mean everything is correct… its fucking amazing.

    Last time I got Kentucky it was all perfect. The bun was fresh, the lettuce was fresh, just the right amount of mayo, the chicken was hot and crunchy. The chips were hot, fresh and had just too much enough salt and the pepsi was just a shade away from being frozen. It was the best chicken burger I’ve had in recent memory.

  • I have never once seen a pay scale that has seperate grades for women. The “women make less” statistic is weighted by women taking time off to raise children, that they are more likely to be primary caregivers and less able to do overtime and so on. (Which yes does figure into the problem)

    That isnt to say that in jobs where staff can negotiate their own salary or recieve offers there IS DEFINITELY a problem with women recieving lower offers. Also being offered less chances for advancement, etc. But there isnt a company that would ever have the balls to deliberately put a lower pay scale for women on paper these days.
