Thanks for taking the time to answer. I ended up buying an Asus barebone with an i5 CPU. An ssd for OS and since nothing else fit an M2 for storage. Installed Ubuntu since I’m a noob. Then docker, then portainer. Set up all the “arrs” (sonarr etc) in containers. The M2 is short term current media I’m watching and deleting after watching. The old Nas is mounted as more long time legacy storage.

It’s far from perfect but that’s how it went.

Next time I’ll probably build a big all in one rig from scratch on a mini ATX base with space for all kinds of storage. But that’ll have to be a project for future me. 😊

Ah, sounds like an i5 is probably overkill, and then some 😄 Maybe an i3 or similar… I’ll have to check around what my local vendors in my country has that hits just right on the “bang for the buck”-scale.

Scandinavia tips around 0%. It’s just not in our culture. We have all reasonable wages as a basis. Also cash is almost gone here, everyone’s paying either by card or some e-banking service (Swish, vipps etc.). There’s no electronic way to actually tip anyone. Sure, some vendors have included a “tip” on their rfid card paying devices, but there’s no actual way that tip goes to the personnel, it goes to the restaurant/service/owner.
