Crazy to think this could be the 8th and final year of the Sanders admin. Would democrats be entirely different people if they didn’t have to be so invested in the Trump/Biden dichotomy?

I love the Osprey Aether Pro 70 I bought a couple years ago. I’ve used it as canoe pack, on winter ski trips, and both overnighters or week long hikes. It doesn’t have much for exterior pockets, but the brain and hipbelt pockets are detachable so it can be stripped down to a minimal setup. An Osprey daypack can be fastened to the outside as well which works great for me on mountain summits in the Northeast. The only downside is bear cannisters fit kinda shitty and it’s expensive. It’s a great balance of being durable and water resistant while still being lightweight, comfortable, and it can carry a lot of gear.
I want to start pirating and I want a forever solution to media management. Photos, music, movies/television, audiobooks/podcasts, even construction literature I use for work. I don’t know where to begin however. I’m just thinking I’ll need to spend an incredible amount of money if I ever want to continue any subscription model.
I still check the hobby and city subs that are relevant to me and I’ve noticed r/all has become a reactionary mess. Specifically noticed a pattern of hatred for climate change activism and support of vigilante or police suppression of these movements. I’m not sure if regular libs have been migrating to Lemmy leaving only the worst posters or if they are just becoming shittier.
Atheism is a religion too…
Yea, most of the one’s I’ve interacted with have been annoying but they probably felt the same way about me
Most self aware liberal I’ve ever met, thank you. I will be blocking you however.
I got a new job after the pandemic and got 3k in relocation compensation, and that didn’t even cover the most bare bones of a move.
Moving across state lines is simple. Just reserve a U-haul box truck and off you go!
This person admitted they won’t actually carry through with it, they just want to sound like a wealthy person.
If you have roadside stops planned you can make an itinerary, I use the Evernote app for organizing trip plans.
You may already have these in your car, but sunglasses, flashlight and tire patch kit are the only things I can think of that others haven’t mentioned.
I play disc golf and my city has a weekly random doubles league which is more focused on making friends than competition. I joined a community organization to push our local officials to fix stuff. I also try to take art classes when possible. I’ve done all that stuff for a year now and still only really have acquaintances or distant friends, it will take time to figure out which ones I truly feel comfortable with and can confide in. For reference most people I see at these things are 30+, those folks are slower to warm up to each other since they usually have adult commitments. I did a lot of these same activities in my 20s too and you’re right it was easier to become close with people in a shorter timeframe than it is now.
