Obviously with the success of the franchise I am in the minority with this belief, but from a critical standpoint 80% of the MCU films are “okay” and just popcorn flicks. There’s nothing wrong with that, but now that has caught up with the viewers and Disney.

Infinity War was special because the good guys actually lost and that alone shook things up for once. Endgame was special because it was the culmination of 10 years of filmmaking and a downright spectacle. Once you drill in beyond those, there are only a few standouts: Winter Soldier, Civil War, Iron Man 1 and Age of Ultron are all standouts in my opinion due to their themes: “what really defines the good guys?”

There are a few others I enjoyed but they had problems: In Homecoming, Feige really screwed up a lot about what makes Peter Parker likeable. Ragnarok was fun but in retrospect it is dragged down in quality by the major screw ups of its successor and its refusal to take much seriously. The misfits of GotG were fun too but ultimately its success really messed up the tone of the entire franchise. None of those 3 really jump out as memorable long-term, either - just fun. The rest are forgettable and almost cookie cutter copies of each other.

Either Palestine needs to come to the table willing to make some serious concessions

Israel’s never honored any established boundary and takes every opportunity to further expand outside of their territory. Saying Palestine needs to negotiate with the Israeli government is the same as saying “Palestine needs to give up and not exist.” Hamas’s violent behavior and views have a lot to do with how the Palestinians have been treated over the decades and waving away Israel’s behavior that led to this is so short-sighted.

Israel won’t stop until Palestine is gone. That’s been the plan the whole time. Israel never wanted peace or a two-state solution, they just wanted the land at all costs - including hypocritically committing genocide by erasing a country and many of its inhabitants.

The amount of incredibly stupid comments I’ve seen since this debate reignited has been more than I ever could have imagined, but this is officially the stupidest and grossly misinformed I’ve seen yet. Congrats.

I used to look at the dragonball, chainsaw man and one punch man subreddits when new issues were released, but I’m moving over to discord for those now.

Kanye, for example, put out a whole christian themed gospel album a few years after he really started going off the deep end.

Emperor’s New Groove and Lilo & Stitch were also two of the last few times Disney put out something original. The last two decades of Disney releases have mostly been franchises they’ve bought from others or remakes of older Disney films that weren’t even their original stories to begin with, e.g. Star Wars, MCU, 20th Century Fox, Pixar, a majority of Disney classics.
