The ocean cleanup doesn’t even make a dent, it never will. The amount of trash we’re dumping into the ocean is far higher than they could ever clean up. You have to fight the problem at the root, then you can think about cleaning it up. Otherwise it’ll be fine to dump trash in the ocean “bc the cleanup guys will catch it”

Im Artikel (der leider nicht verlinkt ist) wird das Problem ausführlicher beschrieben: In Stuttgart wird gerade als Pilotprojekt alles komplett auf Digital umgerüstet. Infrastruktur, Züge und Personal (wird geschult). Da werden also für ein Pilotprojekt Millionen versenkt, um jetzt bereits zu sagen “ja das bauen wir nirgendwo sonst ein”. Zumal ETCS die Signaltechnik Europaweit vereinheitlichen soll und mit den beweglichen Blockabschnitten mehr Kapazität verspricht.
