I have a junk gmail box that I use with no real info on it, I linked it then immediately unlinked it, and that seems to have worked. So I guess if you wanted to do this portion but not give them access you could make a Gmail you will never use just to link then unlink.

I’ve enjoyed her work in Resident Alien, she was also really good in Chuck.

After all, they made the spoons that I used to eat the ice cream that made me fat.

Let’s say it’s just 10mm of them, that leaves 21 million others, not knowing if they are paying the ad-supported price or the higher price, I’ll just use them as a whole, it works out to everybody needing to pay an extra $40 over the quarter. Streaming just costs too much for everybody to have a service and by the time companies realize it and try to go back to licensing everything to Netflix it will be cable-like pricing which will push more piracy or continue the push of young people turning to only YouTube or TikTok entertainment.

It’s a national security threat,” she has since walked it back some after being called out for it, but authoritarians will probably come back to the idea.

So those actors went from getting scraps from HBO Max to probably next to nothing from Roku. I don’t know if that’s worse than having the content completely removed or not considering Roku is like Pluto TV and airs things more like cable.

JelloBrains@kbin.socialto All about Android@kbin.social•Google’s seven-year Pixel update promise is historic — or meaningless6·2 years agoYeah, I don’t believe it. Remember not a year or two ago they announced the monthly phone subscription for a new Pixel every year, and then just before it was time to release a new Pixel they reneged on that and said, never mind.
It required a $200 special external HD-DVD player to do so. Man, I feel bad for people who bought… oh wait, I bought two. :(
By the end, they were selling for like $50 and giving away discs.
I now try not to be the first to buy anything “new tech,” I was certain HDR and Dolby Vision were going to do the same as Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and one would kill the other, it could still happen but maybe not.

EDIT: Nevermind, they are the same, I saw the 12 gauge wire, not the orange 14, that’s on me.

They specifically mention the flavor bans are because children like flavors, WTF, you gonna ban a coughdrop-tasting cigarette but still sell me Cotton Candy Vodka? How fucking hypocritical.

JelloBrains@kbin.socialto Science Fiction@kbin.social•Why Did Firefly Get Cancelled?: What Happened To The 2002 Sci-Fi Series2·2 years agoRatings weren’t good, so ad sales were probably bad, It barely made the top 100 TV shows in the ratings and was getting 4.7 million views on average according to Google. At the time that was not a good number, Fox’s teen drama The O.C. which came out in 2003 was doing 7-10 million viewers an episode for its first year. Sadly, sci-fi shows usually get bad ratings and advertisers don’t want to pay to put ads on those shows and then boom, cancelled.
People will point to Buffy and Angel as examples of Sci-Fi that wasn’t canceled sometimes, and that’s not fair because they aired on UPN/CW and that channel has always allowed bad ratings.
JelloBrains@kbin.socialto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Has YouTube Blocked Your Adblocker Yet??20·2 years agoI followed this from Ublock’s Reddit page, it’s working for now.
Current anti-adblock status: Latest fixed (ID: 462a8d5d)*
Please, remember these 3 steps:
Force update all your filter lists (click uBO icon > ⚙ Dashboard button > Filter lists pane > 🕘 Purge all caches > 🔃 Update now)
Turn off all other extensions AND browser’s built-in blockers
Remove all your current custom filters AND custom filter lists that you have enabled / added manually (Adguard lists…)
It might be quicker to make a backup of your config and restore to defaults before proceeding to step 1.Fixing anti-adblock can cause ads slipped. If you see any ads slipped, please report back the EXACT URL and your country when accessing the URL so volunteers are able to investigate.
The filter lists can be updated multiple times a day, so please always do step 1 before reporting.
- About the ID above, it’s the ID of YouTube’s script that’s used for anti-adblock, you can monitor it via this link: https://pastefy.app/G1Txv5su/raw (top to bottom is oldest to latest). It means that the current fix is matched with the script with corresponding ID.
If the latest ID (the last line) does not match the current one written above, it means YT has updated the new one and it might cause anti-adblock again. If it matches and you still get anti-adblock, kindly check the 3 steps above. Thank you.
It’s what drove me to wrestling torrents, The WWE network was great, it had chapters, and the stuff was easy to find, then they sold it off to Peacock and stuff is hard to find, they have no chapters, they censored some of the old controversial stuff, it’s just a lesser experience than the old Network. I’m very interested to see how it’s integrated into Netflix, and if they move the US to Netflix when the Peacock deal is over.
