I think it means they’re less likely to be able to identify that the ID photo is the same person as the one standing in front of them. It’s the other-race effect, which I understand is quite natural for people of all races that have less experience with other races.

Tory governments regularly ignore expert advice, even when they have commissioned that advice. Look into immigration and drugs policy in the UK and you will find the government often does the opposite of what experts advise them to do. It’s one of the ways you know they have an agenda other than “doing the right thing” or even “doing what is best for the country”.

They have a different approach to combatting salmonella. In the US they sanitise the eggs which strips a natural protective layer so they require refrigeration. In my home country we use other methods to prevent salmonella, which leaves the egg’s natural protection in place.
