Yup. I love traffic. As an owner of a car I seek out traffic jams daily!
I always think to myself “what if I could be in a bus, and be subject to a restrictive schedule other than my own?” Naturally, I like to seat myself next to the gentleman eating the cat food.
Why can’t cars be the solution? What if we developed cheap, electictric vehicles? You know, like electric bikes, or scooters. This is all theoretical, but some day these could be seen all over!
Maybe with solar power, and other renewables, we can forge a future with cheap tech at the forefront!
No? Okay. I’ll see myself out. Don’t worry, dreamers like me can just find the nearest ditch to die in, rather than you all be wrong about “cars”.
That’s not how this works, but thank you for the silver lining here. People try to be good, even if Elon and Tesla are bad.
This is especially true right now, when the enormous gulf between the wealthy and poor is the worst we’ve seen in living memory.
People are struggling to pay their rent, and yet Apple is over here selling this bullshit to people.
I was just at the store today, and overheard some kids asking when cereal got so expensive.
It illustrated just how rapidly they increased the prices.
And rice is delicious! I like sticky sushi rice myself. Throw some chicken on there and you’ve got a meal!
I see DND is older than most people think!
Have you looked? I mean, that question is rhetorical… No, you haven’t.
You should check out the competition. Samsung makes some great devices, razer makes some great devices. Even Google makes solid competition, though I prefer others over them.
They notoriously sell older components and technologies in their brand new computers.
I have one I got for free that was made in 2020. It’s a MacBook Air. It has 8gb of RAM… I don’t even know how they found RAM chips that small in 2020. It freezes every day when all I’m doing is running a web browser. This computer was $1,000 at the time it launched.
Apple also holds over 95,500 patents. I will never get why some people defend this crazy company. They make underperforming computers and sell them for wayyy over their value.
I mean, spellcheck does that more often than not.
My galaxy watch I bought many years ago has this same feature, is cheaper, and looks amazing. I got the “classic” model with the turning frame. It’s an outstanding watch even to this day. No lag, great battery, and very bright even in sunlight.
I’ll settle for sawing off Los Angeles and letting it float off into the distance.
This is the source I used to originally validate my position: https://caniuse.com/jpegxl
Let me know if it’s incorrect, I’d be very interested to learn of new options for the web space as a developer. This said, I googled Firefox and it came back with only “experimental support” for what I think may be an alpha release (version number ends in “a”).
Only Apple supports this. Like, literally just Apple. I hate Chrome, and even Chrome doesn’t support this. Firefox? Yeah, zero support.
So for these reasons it’s 100% not viable right now. If you get the support, I’ll consider it for my websites, and tell my colleagues about it, though.
Tell that to Google’s SEO ratings. A website using jpeg’s is not going to do well.
People just really need to support it. It’s far better than jpg or png. It’s the go-to for web right now, that’s for sure.
Calling it the “Israel-Hamas” conflict feels intellectually dishonest.
It’s a genocide. The Palestinian genocide at the hands of the Israeli Defense Force.
