Wolves have returned to The Netherlands (and Belgium) and it is a shitshow lol. People are panicking, farmers are angry. But dogs, for example, make far more victims in humans and cattle than wolves do. There hasn’t even been a wolven attack on a human yet but some parties want to kill them. There is absolutely no wilderness in this country at all because farmers took every single inch possible.

At least Belgium has some rooms with Wallonia existing.

Yesterday I watched a show in which a couple from Amsterdam with steady jobs wanted to buy a house with a budget of 350k. They eventually had to move to fucking Lelystad because they were unable to find anything near Amsterdam.

My native flowers are growing steadily on my balcony. I have seen some bumblebees and random critters already. I was also gifted a climbing rose this weekend and in a burst of insanity I an deciding to give it a try. On a city balcony. We’ll see.

Apart from that things seems a bit quiet political wise. There is a general strike next monday though and I’m not allowed to work that day lol.

The west will sanction China on everything they can for daring to defy their supremacy only to find out that it will be an economic suicide that will dwarf their current disastrous sanction campaign against Russia.

Some positive news: there seems to be some pacifist movement emerging in The Netherlands with regards to an arms race against Russia. There is no real ideological line it seems but at least there is some resistance to the madness.

Personally I get nausea from iced or cold black coffee for some reason. Maybe if there is some oat milk in it, then it is fine. But otherwise I absolutely don’t like it lol.

I never really wanted children and I am still leaning towards that, together with my partner, though things might change in the next few years. It’s not that we hate children or something, not at all. We have wonderful kids in the family. Just not interested in having them myself.

I have a law profession and my partner works in art and we both have decent incomes and many of our friends have too. It’s a bubble. I deal with unemployed clients on a daily basis and only then you realize how many people in this country (Belgium) live. In moldy houses, in uncertainty, without food some days, constantly between sickness - unemployment - shitty temp jobs. My friends never believe my stories because they never see the misery.

We have this orthodox Jewish district in my city which I ride my bike through every morning to go to work. Today some dude was riding in front of me when a Jewish guy in a car drove towards us. These are narrow streets so there was little space.

Anyway the dude on the bike went off against the car, screaming: ‘fucking JEW, fucking UNTERMENSCH’ and I was like: what the actual fuck man.

I caught up to him at a traffick light and asked him: ‘what the fuck did you just say? Untermensch?’ and he started stuttering. I asked him if he knew what we do with Nazi fucks around here and he quickly rode away. Not that I have any idea what I meant with that either but still.

Baffles my mind how you can be so confidently Nazi outside.
