Bosses are legally required to make up the difference to minimum wage if a tipped employee doesn’t get enough tips.

If I tip a cashier, then we’re taking money away from the working class to give to the working class, which means there’s no net change. But if I refuse to tip, the boss has to make up the difference and the working class gets money from the capital class.

Therefore tipping is class treachery. You’re depriving the workers of chances to take money from the bourgeois.

My problem isn’t that animals died to make the game. That’s a bad thing, but my actions can’t affect it. They’re already dead. My problem is that this game is going to further extremes than any other game to deliberately include and glorify animal killing. I kinda forgive it in games like BOTW or Horizon because it’s part of the story, they’re just portraying life as it exists for some people. They’re not thinking about their actions. The dragon’s dogma people are. They are intimately aware of the fact they’re glorifying death, they took the time to think about it and said “that’s a good thing”.

An LLM is like a human’s speech center severed from the rest of their brain, including the parts responsible for consciousness, reason, and memory. I think current level LLMs on the scale of ChatGPT are equivalent in intelligence to a chicken. Chickens are smart. They’re also really dumb. It’s a specialised intelligence. LLMs are basically animals, just specialised for something completely different than all extant biological animals.

Anyway, I think it’s worth having a conversation about limiting the use of ANNs on vegan grounds.

Autocomplete is usually an algorithm. LLMs are neural nets. There’s a fundamental technical distinction.

But that’s not relevant, because we’re not talking about the technical details of LLMs. We’re talking about the technical details of human consciousness. And unless you can fully explain where human consciousness comes from, this debate is not settled.
