  • I think so too! One of my favorite games, especially with Tamriel Rebuilt, which I still have to play. But I also agree with the other commentator - it is kind of dated nowadays, to the point of being too old for me. Gothic had immersive day/night cycles, while in MW all just stand around and stare at walls. At some point this just becomes not good enough, with all the graphical clunkiness.

  • Ah, that reminds me of the good old Attila client states. For all who haven’t played the game, in Total War: Attila you can create client states. However, each times you get attacked, you must ask them to help in the war, and should they refuse they will automatically be at war with you as well.

In practice, that means that each client state is basically a ticking time bomb: because their friend Barbaricus Maximus Chadus has decided to launch a suicide war against you, the client states often just go “yep, I wanna get annihilated too” and refuse to defend with you (and thus go to war with you).

Long story short - foederati states are trash. Never trust anyone, and remember that Roman glory is forged in blood!

  • Oh gosh! I fear people may have completely misunderstood my original post.

So, basically I posted it because many Neonazis (where I live, in Germany) put a lot of emphasis on Christianity. Right-wing ideology is strongly intertwined with Christianity, to the point where right-winger put a huge emphasis on preserving Christian heritage and ideals etc.

I thought it is kind of ironic that Hitler thought that Islam would work better for the so-called German race than Christianity - many Neofascists are so vehemently anti-Islam that they would be in complete terror, would they realize that Hitler liked Islam.

And by no means did I want to start a big debate on racism! That really wasn’t my intention at all. I just wanted to share an interesting fact about Hitler liking Islam, which I thought qualifies as a meme. But maybe I was also mistaken - please correct me.

    Take care!
